Altair Advanced Industries, Inc., which provides world-class powering solutions, seeks a Warehouse Supervisor for its team in Bellingham, WA. 

This position will oversee the implementation of improvement plans and operation of processing inbound, outgoing shipments and material movements: maintain finished goods inventory.


• Supervise the movement, storage and placement of materials at AAI Main, Alpha North or other designated warehouse locations
• Supervise and coordinate the preparation of finished goods, materials, equipment, and supplies for domestic and international shipments
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the ERP system of all material transactions
• Ensure the timely preparation of materials for all production work orders, vendor managed goods, and internal requests from all local AAI/Alpha locations
• Maintain the daily and long term staffing needs of the department
• Ensure proper training of procedures for team members
• Represent the Materials department in all inter-departmental functions related to inventory control issues and procedures
• Maintain timely and accurate employee performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and administer associated human resources policies
• Coordinate and maintain a cycle count program for finished goods and raw materials stored in all warehouse locations
• Minimize total cost while maximizing service to customers
• Coordinate receipt and material movements of customer returned products (ZREs)
• Conduct training of new employees
• Ensure overall accuracy of the inventory in the warehouse
• Oversee warehouse projects to improve the flow and storage of materials
• Operate company inventory equipment such as forklifts and delivery trucks
• Assist in the proper disposal of materials no longer needed or used

Requirements and Skills:

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: 4-6 years in field of Inventory Control, Production, Shipping & Receiving
Supervisor Experience: 1-2 years


  •  Strong  forklift skills, ability to train employees on safety and driving techniques 
    • Great emphasis on details and accuracy
    • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management, vendors and customers
    • Ability to meet expected 100% attendance requirement
    • Will work on-site (no tele-commuting)
    • Ability to follow written and verbal directions in the English language
    • Ability to speak/read/write English
    • Detail oriented
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Work well under pressure
    • Current driver’s license and acceptable driving record
    • Available weekends and after hours when on call
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment and prioritize work with minimal supervision
    • Ability to effectively form and motivate team towards achieving a common goal

MRP/ERP systems

APICS/NAPM/CPM Certification
